Laetitia Cicchelero

Laetitia Cicchelero (15/05/1985) is president of the BKFD and veterinarian (graduated in 2009). After 3 years of practice, she started a PhD in cancer research. It was investigated how the immune system of the dog can be encouraged to recognize and fight cancer cells. Because this research showed that many dog ​​owners have questions about cancer and they also appreciate access to new treatments through participation in research, Laetitia founded www.oncowaf.be together with veterinarians active in oncology and with the support of the BKFD.

She hopes, among other things, to help facilitate more research into cancer in animals and to contribute to greater knowledge about (the approach to) cancer in animals.
